เป็นหวัด ตื่นสาย (เกือบบ่ายโมง) หนาว (ขนาดเปิดฮีทเตอร์แล้วนั่งตรงหน้าเลยนะ) อะไรกัน ฝนตกอยู่ได้ วันก่อนไปทานอาหารไทยกับบริษัทของวิลเลียม โชคดีมีแขกคนอังกฤษ เม้าท์ภาษาอังกฤษกันมันส์ (พูดมากไปรึเปล่าน๊า) ด้วยความเอร็ดอร่อยของอาหารไทย กัดปากตัวเองเข้าจังใหญ่ วันนี้เลยปากบวมฉึ่ง เจ็บอ่ะ หนาว ฝนตก ขี้เกียจลงไปซื้อยา  รอให้วิลเลียมซื้อให้ขากลับบ้านดีกว่า

 

เชิ้นเจิ้น เป็นเมืองใหม่อายุประมาณ 30 ปี ดูไปแล้วคล้ายสิงคโปร์บวกกับฮ่องกง บ้านเมืองดูเป็นระเบียบ มีแบบแผน ต้นไม้เต็มไปหมด คนไม่เยอะเท่าปักกิ่ง อากาศก็ดีกว่า ของซื้อ ของขายคล้ายฮ่องกง แต่คนพูดภาษาอังกฤษไม่ได้อ่ะ  คนที่นี่ไม่น่ารักเท่าคนปักกิ่ง (ลำเอียงอ๊ะเปล่า) เวลาพูดแมนดารินด้วยแล้วพูดต่อไม่ได้ ดูเค้าช่วยเราแบบปัดไปทีแกมรำคาญนิดหน่อย ไม่เหมือนคนปักกิ่งที่จะคอยช่วยมากกว่า เอ รึว่าต้องพูดกวางตุ้งนะ อย่างว่าโอลิมปิกจะจัดในปักกิ่งไม่ใช่เชิ้นเจิ้น

 

วันก่อนซื้อของจากคาร์ฟูเยอะมาก (มีฮีทเตอร์อันนึง) อยากเรียกแทกซี่แต่มีทางกั้นตลอดแนว แทกซี่ไม่จอดให้อ่ะ ขอให้คนช่วยเรียกให้กลับบอกว่าใกล้นิดเดียว เดินไปอิ อ้าวก็ตูหอบของพะรุงพะรังอ่ะ ไม่อยากเดิน สุดท้าย เดินๆ หยุดๆ จนถึงบ้าน เฮ้อ เหนื่่อย

 

กิจวัตรประจำวัน อุดอู้ในห้องขนาด 2 ห้องนอน ชั้น 15  มีห้องนั่งเล่น ห้องน้ำ ห้องครัว แล้วก็อีก 2 ระเบียง นั่งเล่นเน็ต นั่งดู CCTV9 ภาคภาษาอังกฤษ จนเปื่อย เพราะฉายรายการวนไปมา ทานอาหารสำเร็จรูป เดินไปซื้อของที่คาร์ฟูบ้าง ออกไปทานข้าวบ้าง เมื่อวานเย็นเดินไปทานอาหารชินเจียงคนเดียว สั่งได้ ต้าผาจี (Big plate chicken) ซังเก๊อะหยางโร่ช่า (3 lamb skewers) ทานไปอร่อยดี เผ็ดดี สุดท้ายก็ ไหมตั้น (เก็บตังค์ค่ะ)

 

ปกติเป็นคนชอบเดินเที่ยวสถานที่ใหม่ๆ คนเดียว แต่การมาเชิ้นเจิ้นงวดนี้ อากาศวิปริตมาก หนาว ฝนตก แถมเป็นหวัดอีก หมดกะจิตกะใจจะออกไป explore Shenzhen เค้าว่าฮ่องกงจะหนาวลงไปอีก พรุ่งนี้ว่าจะไปฮ่องกงกับวิลเลียม

 

ว่าจะอัพโหลดรูป แต่คุณสามีฉวยกล้องไปที่ทำงานเสียนี่ เฮ้อ เบื่อ หนาว เป็นหวัด ไม่สบาย เปื่อยมากในเชิ้นเจิ้นอ่ะ

 

 

I miss you Beijing.... 

It is very cold in Southern China this year, the coldest in 30 years.  Unfortunately, there is no public in-house heating system here in Shenzhen , unlike in Beijing.  That's why I feel it's even colder here in Shenzhen than in Beijing, although it's 8 degree here (-10 in Beijing).  Inside the building is much colder than outside so I bought a small fan heater yesterday, still....so freezing. 

 

 

The forecast said that it would be colder in Hong Kong and Southern China in the next few days....Oh no...

We went to a very big dog market in Tongchou district, luckily, it was sunny day but still.....freezing . 

 

Initially, we would like to see Pekkinese (Beijng dog) but all seller told us that there are too many Pekkinese in Beijing and they are too cheap so they don't sell it anymore.  We saw a lot of "puffy lion dogs", very cute but they will be big dogs.  I don't like it!

 

 

Can't finish without talking about food , we had dinner at a very famous muslim restaurant.  We tried a very famous "Catfish dish", recommended by many books and has more than 50-year fame.  However, the taste and the restaurant is quite disappointing.....

 

Also, I found another disappointing thing is China...it is coffee , really can't find a good cuppa even at Startbucks! (I'm not Starbucks fan anyway.)  That's why I brough my own coffee and coffee machine from Melbourne this time.   Ah...h...h good cuppa at home every morning lar....

 

Today, we had dinner at Zhang Jun's restaurant, Sichuan food.  William told me that fish dish here is very yummy. 

 

We started with duck soup hotpot, very delicious then time for roasted fish dish.....umm...what I could say is "unbelievable delicious".... .  Five stars for this dish , all tastes ---> hot, spicy, salty, sweet, sour and numb (from Sichuan pepper) blending in my palate.

 

 

 

Umm...m... seems my blogs become food recommendation.   Well, I always enjoy eating, especially in Beijing now.

We planned to see movie yesterday but dropped by at the hotpot restaurant close to Fuxingmen station.   

 

 

 

It's very modern place and the hotpot is very yummy.  Everyone has his/her own hotpot and there are many choices of soup, sauce, veggies and meat.  We chose mutton meat, tonghao (ตั้งโอ๋), bo cai (spinach), tofu, seaweed and mushroom. 

 

I, of course chose spicy soup (Sichuan style) while William chose mushroom soup. 

 

 

It was very scrumptious hotpot in fantastic environment and superior service.  I think the name of the restaurant is "Caojingjing", one of the best hotpot in Beijing.

 

 

วันนี้ตื่นเช้าลุกขึ้นอุ่นน้ำเต้าฮู้ให้คุณสามี แปลก (ปกติตื่นตอนสามีจะออกไปทำงานอ่ะ ) นั่งทานอาหารเช้าด้วยกัน แต่แล้วเกิดอาการจุกเสียดท้องกระทันหัน สงสัยท้องไม่ชินกับการทานอะไรเช้าๆ ปวดมาก อัดมันทั้งยาฝรั่ง ยาจีน เอาเครื่องอุ่นๆของแพทย์แผนจีนวางตรงท้อง แล้วหลับไป สรุป ตื่นตอนคุณสามีไปทำงานแล้วกลับมานอนต่อ อดออกไปช้อบเลย เฮ้อ

 

 

 

 

เมื่อวานเดินฝ่าความหนาวไป Auchan ขากลับ ด้วยความงกค่ารถ ซื้อถุงผ้าใหญ่ๆสำหรับช้อบปิ้ง หอบของกลับเอง ไม่เท่าไหร่หรอก แต่กลางคืนปวดแขนมาก เหมือนตอนไปสกีเลย (หอบเกียร์เดินไปมา ไม่ชอบสกี)  ร้อนคุณสามีต้องนวดให้อีก คุณสามีบอกงกไม่เข้าเรื่อง แหะๆ  แต่เวลาสามีบอกเมื่อยจัง นวดให้หน่อย ก็จะบอกทันทีว่า wo kun la , wo lei la (ง่วงแล้ว เหนื่อยแล้ว) สงสารคุณสามีจัง คงหาใครทนเราอย่างนี้ไม่ได้อีกแล้ว

เมื่อวานอะฮั้นมั่นมาก ออกไปช้อบปิ้งคนเดียวค่า อาศัยพูดภาษาจีนแบบงูๆปลาๆแต่สำเนียงปักกิ่งเป๊ะ หน้าขาวๆ หมาวยๆ ขอให้คุณสามีเขียนชื่อสถานที่เป็นภาษาจีนให้ ขอตังค์เพิ่มเยอะหน่อยนึง สะพายเป้ใบเขื่อง เท่านี้ก็พร้อมตะลุย shopping in Beijing ค่า ว่าแล้วก็เรียกแท๊กซี่ตรงดิ่งไป New World Plaza แหล่งช้อบที่คุ้นเคย

 

เริ่มจากชั้นใต้ดินแหล่งรวมรองเท้านาๆ ชนิด รวมทั้งกระเป๋า รองเท้าบู้ทสวยๆ ละลานตาไปหมด สวยจนเลือกไม่ถูก รอให้คุณสามีมาดูดีกว่าจะได้เก็บตังค์ไปซื้ออย่างอื่นด้วย อิอิ  ขึ้นไปชั้นแรก ตะลุยเลือกเครื่องประดับ ต่างหู สร้อย ที่คาดผม ที่มัดผม ไอ้แบบระยิบระยับแพงๆ บ้านเราที่ปักกิ่งถูกมาก แต่ต้องอาศัยการต่อแบบมืออาชีพค่ะ ปกติที่นี่จะให้ราคาเผื่อต่อมากต้องต่อเยอะๆ ขอบอกว่าศิราต่อของเป็นภาษาจีนคล่องมาก ถ้าฟังไม่รู้เรื่องก็บอก ทิงปู้ด่องล่ะ คนขายก็จะบอกว่าฟังไม่รู้เรื่องได้ไงพูดคล่องเชียว ต้องตอบไปว่า หว่อปู้ชื่อจงกั๋วเริน (อะฮั้นไม่ใช่คนจีนค่า) มีร้านนึงคนขายบอกสร้อยเส้นละ 35 หยวน ศิราต่อมาได้ 2 เส้น 30 หยวน อิอิ  

 

ต่อไปเดินดูของชั้นเสื้อผ้า ของเยอะละลานตา ขอบอกว่าของจีนสมัยใหม่คุณภาพดีทีเดียว ดีกว่าที่หาซื้อที่ออสเตรเลียอีก แถมถูกกว่ากันหลายเท่า เลือกไม่ถูกอีก ไปดูชั้นหมวก ถุงเท้า ดีกว่า ว่าแล้วก็หาเจอถุงน่องหนาๆ แบบกางเกงสามส่วน ห้าส่วนบ้านเราแบบหลากสี (ที่ออสเตรเลียเพิ่งจะเริ่มฮิต) คนขายบอกว่า 128 หยวน (นี่ขนาดต่อเป็นภาษาจีนนะราคายังโหดขนาดนี้) อยากได้แบบบางลงหน่อยแต่พูดไม่รู้เรื่อง ปรากฎว่ามีฝรั่งผู้หญิงมาซื้อของข้างๆ พูดภาษาจีนถามให้ อึ้งไปเลย หน้าหมวยๆพูดไม่เก่งเท่าอ่ะ เอาเถอะไว้วันหลังจะไปเรียนภาษาจีนเป็นเรื่องเป็นราวจะพูดแบบเจ้าของภาษาให้ดู ต่อเป็นภาษาจีนอยู่นานสุดท้ายได้มาคู่ละ 20 หยวน (จากร้อยกว่าหยวนน่ะ คิดดู) เลยเหมาไปหลายคู่ คุณภาพดีกว่าซื้อ Aus$ 10 ต่อคู่เยอะ

 

เดินไปเดินมาเริ่มเหนื่อยแวะทานเกี๊ยวซักหน่อย สั่งได้ จ่ายเงินได้ (ไหมตั้น เก็บตังค์ค่ะ) จนกระทั่งทุ่มกว่าๆ คุณสามีตามมาสมทบ (ตอนนั้นเป้เต็มไปด้วยของช้อบแล้วค่ะ) เดินดูกางเกงแบบสำหรับใส่กับบู้ทยาวโดยเฉพาะ เสื้อสวยๆ ถูกๆ หมวก โค้ทหนัง แน่นอนคุณสามีจ่ายค่า อิอิ  (ของใหญ่ๆ แพงกว่าต้องรอคุณสามีมาจ่ายอ่ะ เก็บตังค์ไปซื้อของกระจุกกระจิกดีกว่า) ตอนนั้นห้างใกล้ปิดแล้วยังไม่ได้บู้ทเลย เลยรีบตรงดิ่งกันไปชั้นใต้ดิน ลองไปลองมาอย่างรวดเร็ว ฉวยมาได้อีกคู่  มีเจ้าหน้าที่ใส่ชุดทหารมารอปิดประตูอยู่หลายนาย กำลังจะเดินออกห้าง อะฮั้นลืมเสื้อโค้ท duck down อ่ะ  ของก็พะรุงพะรัง ลืมที่ไหนก็ไม่รู้ วิลเลียมเลยขอให้เจ้าหน้าที่รอแล้ววิ่งหา ร้านหมวกก็ไม่มี ร้านรองเท้าก็ไม่มี อีกร้านร้านกางเกง เจ้าหน้าที่ไม่ค่อยอยากให้รอ บอกให้ฉันรอกับเค้าแล้วพูดอะไรยาวๆ ฉันบอก ทิงปู้อ่องล่ะ เค้าว่าฟังไม่รู้เรื่องได้ไงพูดได้นี่ เลยบอกว่า หว่อชื่อไทกั๋วเริน (ฉันเป็นคนไทย) อ้อ สุดท้ายเจอเสื้อโค้ทลืมไว้ที่ร้านกางเกง ขาเดินออกต้องบอก ตุ้ยปู้ฉี เซียะๆ ตลอดทาง (ขอโทษนะคะ ขอบคุณค่ะ) แต่เจ้าหน้าที่ก็ใจดีกว่าที่คิดมากไม่รู้ว่าเป็นเพราะฉันเป็นคนต่างชาติรึเปล่า หรือว่าคนปักกิ่งเปลี่ยนแปลงไปในทางที่ดีขึ้นเพื่อต้อนรับโอลิมปิก

 

เหนื่อยมากแต่ก็ Enjoy shopping มั่กมาก การมาปักกิ่งครั้งนี้ฉันรู้สึกว่าของซื้อของขายทุกอย่างคุณภาพดีขึ้นมาก  ของดูทันสมัยมาก  แล้วที่สำคัญคนจีนยิ้มมากขึนตามนโยบายยิ้มรับโอลิมปิกที่จะมาถึง

 

 

 Plenty of yummy food in Beijing and I have enjoyed eating out everyday here  . 

 

Yesterday, Zhang Jun picked us up early and we headed to "Beijing Star Mountain", one of the ski place.  Zhang Jun is a good friend of William, they have known each other for 20 years.  His family visited us in Melbourne last year, they have 7-year old daughter, Emmy, very cute .  If I have a child, I would love to have a daughter .  William and Zhang Jun enjoyed skiing while I was watching them and enjoying some meat barbeque...enjoyed eating..as usual.  I hate skiing, I don't know, just don't like the feeling of fast and slippery!  Anyway, the scenery is very beautiful.

 

We then headed to hotspring, I love it!  We dropped by a small village that sells "donkey meat", yes, DONKEY.  It tasted like beef but softer, I think..yummy anyway. 

 

At the hotspring place, I really enjoyed dipping myself in hot water, would say "atatakai" in Japanese and "chufu" in Chinese, which means "comfortable".  Unfortunately, I was unable to take a photo inside as it was too foggy on the lense!  We had dinner at a huge and luxerious Thai restaurant on the way back, food is delicious but not authentic.  However, the decoration is really breath-taking. 

 

I feel everything in China is so huge, can be very luxerious and can be very poor.  I can see the super-rich and super-poor next to each other here.  Wonder, how amazing it's gonna be during Olympic Games in August...like they say "Impossible is nothing". 

 

It snowed again this morning....

 

This time I flew with Singapore airline, it was 30 degree in Sinagapore and arrived in Beijing at -10 degree...freezing and groomy!  Spent the first few days staying home, watching series, having a rest, reading fashion magazine, walking to Auchan (2 blocks away from our home) and enjoying eating (as usual ).  William is busy working till late everyday but the best part is we can be together .

 

I'm using William's new computer, very advanced and small so it's very difficult to type with my blinded typing skills.  It's Window Vista, Chinese version so still can't find the way to type in Thai as every command is in Chinese .

 

Can't wait to eat out again tonight and go shopping this weekend...yeah, what a good life!   I love Beijing and wo ai ni, lao gong .

 

 

 

พามามี้ไปเก็บสตอร์เบอร์รี่ สนุกดี แดดร้อนไปหน่อยแต่สนุก ขาไปขับผ่านทางเขามองเห็นวิว Mornington Pennisula แล้วสุดยอด สวยมั่กมาก สีฟ้าของน้ำทะเลแทบจะกลืนไปกับสีของฟ้าเลย รวยเมื่อไหร่จะหาซื้อ Holiday House แถวนี้ดีกว่า อิอิ (ฝันเฟื่องแล้วเรา)

 

คนเยอะมาก แต่สนุก เก็บไปทานไป ลูกแรกๆก็อร่อยดี ลูกหลังๆ เริ่มเอียน ค่าเข้าคนละ $8 สามารถเก็บสตอร์เบอร์รี่ได้ถึง 1/2 kg ต่อคน เก็บมากกว่านี้ก็จ่ายเพิ่ม แต่แค่หนึ่งกิโลสองคนก็ทานกันไม่หวาดไม่ไหวแล้ว ยิ่งหลังจากทานซะพุงกางจากสวนก็ไม่อยากทานสตอร์เบอร์รี่ไปอีกนาน

 

ขากลับว่าจะไปเก็บเชอรี่แต่เป็นช่วงใกล้วายแล้ว สวนที่ขับผ่านก็ไม่เปิดให้เก็บ แต่มามี้ก็ยังซื้อเชอรี่ของโปรดกลับมาอีกหนึ่งกิโล ขับรถผ่านสวนไวน์ ไร่องุ่น แวะชมวิวจิบไวน์ (แพงกว่า Yarra Valley) เป็นความสุขเล็กๆ น้อยๆ ที่หาได้ไม่ไกลตัวเมืองมากนักในวันหยุดสุดสัปดาห์

 

 

I was thinking to call in sick today but my mom told me "you should finish your very last minute working!".  Well, I finally went to work on my last day even though I have almost 600 hours of sick leave!!

 

To begin with....alert caesarean...OH NO  !! I was supposed to cover only gynae & postpartum but if it's emergency c/s, I had to attend.  It was a lady came in by ambulance, arrived to birthing suite, fully with FOOTLING BREECH!!  I was rush in theatre, got changed, and scrubed in, the registrar told me to get consultant as one leg was out!.  It was chaotic, eventually the lady ended up with vaginal delivery in theatre.  Fortunately, the mother and the baby have been well .

 

Then, the whole day had been busy with filling many documents, forms, consulting many people, booking theatre lists and informing patients' pathology result.  I was thinking if I am a doctor or a clerk!  I really should have called in sick!!

 

Finally, handed over the cases, filled in timesheet, returned the pager and said good bye to everyone.  Walking out of the hospital, looking back to the buildings and feeling a bit blue  .  On the other hand, I feel so relieved, there will be no more hospital works, no more nights, less on-call and less weekend cover .  There will be next step of career...being a GP registrar.

 

 

 

 

Recently joined hi5, amazing how people get connect together again, especially me and my old friends. 

 

I accidentally found my friends from med school through spaces.live.com, then got connect with my Western health colleagues via facebook.  Now, being a hi5 member and got circle of friends back, especially Satit 22.  Incredible use of internet.

 

Still love writing on my spaces.live.com as it's my first baby . 

 

Whatever is better, I'm very happy to get in touch again with my old friends and see how they are doing.

Half pass midnight ...labour ward is still sh...sh.. (not good idea to say "Q" word ). 

 

It has been extremely busy since 2 am of the 1st Jan 2008....people probably want to have last minute "Golden Pig Babies".  Last few nights have been busy like never before.  We had full house to begin with , the whole lot delivered at similar time (few precipitating labours) then new lot kept coming in .  Midwife in charge, who is Asian and quite experienced, said "it's a s_it night!" .  Even though she told many ladies who called in with ruptured membrane with no contraction and of course GBS -ve to stay home till morning, we still got many of those SROM with contractions came in. 

 

My registrar did vacumm or forceps 2 cases last night and helped me to repair perineum tear 1 case.  I did repair episiotomy tear 3 cases, enjoyable as usaul (only one thing I love about Obs&Gyne is suturing).  Been exhausted till morning...just before the hand over, multi- came in with contraction, VE 8-9 cm...another birth was coming!  We did clear the board then it has been good day for the day team. 

 

Sh...sh.. so far so good .. Hope God bless me the whole (last) night!  7 hours to go... and counting

อยู่เวรสูติช่วงนี้พอดี ฮือๆ  อดไปดูดอกไม้ไฟอีกแล้ว พยาบาลห้องคลอด (เมื่อคืน) น่ารักมาก (ปกติไม่ค่อยน่ารัก) เพจมาตอนหนึ่งนาทีก่อนเที่ยงคืน ให้ไปร่วมฉลองปีใหม่ และ countdown จากรพ.สามารถมองเห็นดอกไม้ไฟในเมืองได้ (นิดหน่อย) คนมาคลอดไม่เยอะตามคาด จนประมาณหลังตีสองก็ทะยอยมา สงสัยคงเริ่มมี tightening กันตอนดูดอกไม้ไฟ แล้วพอหมดก็เริ่มรู้สึกเจ็บท้อง บางคู่ก็ฉลองปีใหม่ด้วยกันหวานฉ่ำแล้วมาด้วย APH/post-coital bleeding ห้องคลอดเลยคึกคักหลังตีสอง สงสัยอยากมี New Year baby กัน เฮ้อ

 

มีคนไข้คนนึงชาวแอฟริกัน เธอ Book ที่รพ.ชานเมืองใหญ่และ planned C/S อีกสองวัน แต่มี contraction ลุงเธอพามาส่งที่รพ.ที่เราทำงานอยู่ Cx 2 cm, 50% eff ถามไปถามมาถึงรู้ว่า indication for C/S คือ HIV +ve พวกพยาบาลผดุงครรภ์อยากส่งเธอต่อไปรพ.ที่เธอบุ๊คไว้ แต่เธอมีหลาย social issues ไม่ qualified for free ambulance ลุงเธอไม่ยอมไปส่งให้อีกรพ.หนึ่ง registrar จะเอาเธอลงไปผ่าคลอด แต่พวกผดุงครรภ์ก็เหลือเกิน หาข้ออ้างหลายประการจะส่งเธอออก (ปกติพวกนี้ไม่ชอบดูแลคนไข้ที่ไม่ได้ book/ANC ที่รพ.ตัวเอง) สุดท้าย ก็ต้อง C/S เธออยู่ดี เรากับ registrar เลยประเดิมซีซาร์ปี 2008 ด้วยเคสเอชไอวี registrar บอกฉันว่าเป็นเคสผ่าคลอด HIV เคสแรกของเธอ แหม ลองมา elective สูติที่เชียงใหม่คงได้ฝึกปรือฝีมืออีกเยอะ

 

คนที่นี่เวลามีคนไข้พวก Hep B, Hep C, HIV +ve, TB จะตื่นเต้นตกใจกันใหญ่ ไม่ค่อยมีเคส เคยมีเคสนึง CXR มี calcification RLL เล็กๆ ก็ตกใจกันใหญ่กลัว TB จะแยกคนไข้เข้าห้องเดี่ยว จะย้ายคนไข้ออกไปรพ.ที่มีห้องที่มีเครื่องฟอกอากาศโดยเฉพาะ ดูยังไงก็ไม่ค่อยเหมือน typical picture of TB แต่เคสนี้เค้าเอาไปถกกันใน radiology meeting/infectious meeting เป็นเรื่องเป็นราว ตื่นตูมกันดี สรุปก็ไม่ใช่ TB (ตามคาด) ว่างๆ น่าจะเอาฟิล์ม typical TB จากบ้านเราไปให้ดูกัน หรือให้หมอเอ็กซเรย์ที่นี่ไปดูเคสบ้านเราซักหน่อยจะได้หายตื่นตูมกัน อิอิ

 

เฮ้อ เดี๋ยวก็ได้เวลาไปอยู่เวรดึกอีกแล้ว เอาล่ะ ยังไงก็อีกแค่ 4 คืน and I'm counting...
